Welcome

Welcome to the Internet home of the Greater Washington Unit 353 of the Ladies' Auxiliary, Military Order of the Purple Heart (LAMOPH). Our Ladies are proud to be members of this organization chartered by Congress exclusively for female lineal descendents of combat-wounded veterans. We share our support, compassion, and care with our brave military, all veterans, and their families.

You are welcome to look around and learn about our Ladies' Auxiliary Unit 353, read our news, and explore our events. Our Officers are just a phone call or an e-mail message away. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you are interested and eligible, we invite you to become a member of the LAMOPH and our Greater Washington Unit 353. For your convenience, application and transfer forms are available in several formats. Female Purple Heart recipients are welcome to join Ladies' Auxiliary in addition to the MOPH.

The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) is the only veterans service organization (VSO) chartered by Congress exclusively for combat-wounded veterans. Please read about the Purple Heart Medal and what makes this military award special.

We share our lives with members of our parent MOPH Chapter 353. With over 280 Patriots, Greater Washington Chapter 353 has been one of the largest and the most active MOPH Chapters in the Northern Virginia and greater Washington, DC areas.

If you are looking for veterans, military, and government forms, popular software programs, and helpful links, you may find many of them among our resources.

We hope your will enjoy your visit with us. We frequently update our web site and may move some information around. If you cannot find a feature, which you have seen here before, please look for it on our Site Map page.

Happy Birthday, Ladies and Patriots!

Let your days be filled with joy,
love, happiness, and inspiration.

Let all your dreams and
wishes come true.

Wherever you go, whatever you do,
our thoughts, prayers, and blessings
are always with you.
