With over 20 active members, we continue looking for a few good Ladies. Are you a mother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, stepdaughter, step-granddaughter, or widow of a Purple Heart recipient? Are you a female Purple Heart recipient? We invite you to become a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary, Military Order of the Purple Heart (LAMOPH) and our Greater Washington Unit 353.

The LAMOPH has two levels of membership: Regular (Annual or Life) and Associate (Annual or Life). In comparison with Ladies Auxiliaries of many other veterans organizations, you are not required to be a U.S. citizen. You are welcome to join the Purple Heart Ladies' Auxiliary even if your Purple Hearter is not a member of the The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH). If you are a female Purple Heart recipient, you can become a member of our Ladies' Auxiliary Unit and its parent MOPH Chapter 353. You do not need to share a lot of your time, and your smallest effort can make a big difference for our military, veterans, and their loved ones.

According to the LAMOPH Standing Rule #59, lineal female descendants of Purple Heart recipients from birth through age 13 may join the Ladies' Auxiliary as Associate Members. At age 14, they will become Regular Members. Associate Life Membership will be converted to Regular Life Membership. Annual Members will need to pay the appropriate annual dues.

If you are a National Member At Large living in the Washington, DC Metro area, we invite you to join our Greater Washington Unit 353. Membership in an active Unit gives you the right to vote and has many other benefits. Please download the transfer form below and contact us if you need help.

Regular or Associate Membership Application Form

If you are a mother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, stepdaughter, step-granddaughter, or widow of a Purple Heart recipient, please use this form to join the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and our Unit 353. If you are a female Purple Heart recipient, you are welcome to join the LAMOPH in addition to the MOPH. All Regular and Associate Members can also use this form to renew their Annual Membership or apply for Life Membership.
