Unit 353 Meetings
Many members of our LAMOPH Unit 353 live far away from the Washington, DC area. To allow all our Ladies to participate in the Unit meetings, we hold most of them via teleconference (requires a telephone with a long-distance plan). According to the LAMOPH Constitution and Bylaws, a quorum of at least six members is required for a regular business meeting. From June 2007, our Unit will hold regular business meetings on the 4th Thursday of odd months at 7:00 PM Eastern time (5:00 PM Mountain time, 4:00 PM Pacific time).
Unit 353 will have no meetings in October. Our next regular business meeting will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2007, at 7:00 PM via teleconference. It is postponed by one week to allow us enjoy Christmas with our families and friends. Please contact our Unit Secretary if you have any questions.

Every form contains detailed instructions and related current fees.
According to the LAMOPH Standing Rule #59, lineal female descendants of Purple Heart recipients from birth through age 13 may join the Ladies' Auxiliary as Associate members. At age 14, they will become Regular members. Associate Life membership will be converted to Regular Life membership. Annual members will need to pay the appropriate annual dues. Are your daughters and/or granddaughters members of our Ladies' Auxiliary team?
Formation of the LAMOPH Department in Virginia
The LAMOPH does not have and has never had a Department in Virginia. On November 18, 2006, at the MOPH Department of Virginia Mid-Year Conference in Charlottesville, VA, the MOPH Department of Virginia Executive Committee unanimously voted to allow Virginia Ladies to form a Ladies' Auxiliary Department. According to the LAMOPH Constitution and Bylaws, a state must have at least three active Units and 60 Members in good standing to form a Department. Virginia easily meets these requirements. Ladies, let's get to work and have the LAMOPH Department of Virginia ready to be chartered soon.
