Visit to the VA Medical Center with Donations
November 30, 2005

MOPH Greater Washington Chapter 353  made an additional donation in VAVS  funds received  from the MOPH Department of Virginia to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center  in Washington, DC  for social programs  for the Operations Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Enduring Freedom (OEF) veterans and their families. Our Greater Washington Unit 353 donated various magazines, 2006 Purple Heart  pocket calendars and bookmarks, and MOPH America's Quest  for Freedom brochures to the Medical Center's Voluntary Service. MOPH Chapter 353 Commander Steve Cobb (right) presents the donation check to the Medical Center  Director Sanford Garfunkel (center), while President of  the Ladies' Auxiliary Unit 353 Tanya Cobb looks on.
